Ashley Sjoerdsma LMSW, PMH-C

My passion for Perinatal Mental Health evolved from over 10 years of caring for women and young children in various roles as a Clinical Social Worker.  Then, when I became a mother and found myself struggling to adjust, my drive to help other women navigate this profoundly impactful stage of life grew even deeper.

As a Perinatal Mental Health Therapist, I strive to provide women with the opportunity to feel safe, seen, and supported so they may thrive regardless of circumstance. Whether you need support as you navigate fertility challenges, are struggling to process a traumatic birth, are grieving a loss, are experiencing mental health challenges during or after pregnancy,  or are simply finding motherhood to be more overwhelming and less joyful than you expected, I would be honored to hear your story and walk alongside you. Additionally, I am experienced in caring for those who are seeking to or have grown their family through adoption.

Further, I enjoy and am experienced working with women who are navigating various life transitions, relationship challenges, and supporting other helping professionals. I am able to integrate various therapeutic modalities into sessions but most frequently utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Trauma Focused- Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT).

When I am not working, I enjoy time with my husband and daughters, taking care of my plant babies, baking sweet treats, and exploring nature.
